Wine shortage in Venezuela due to poor grape harvest (and chavista policies)

http://www.ultimasnoticias.com.ve/noticias/actualidad/economia/pomar-baja-cosecha-de-uva-afecto-entrega-del-vino-.aspx

Two of the last three links on another post falsely claiming there is no wine shortage state that the shortage is due to a poor harvest.
Then, as already reported here, importers could not get their hands on dollars to replace the wine with imported wine.

Don't believe chavista lies.

Church wine runs low in latest Venezuelan shortage

CARACAS (Reuters) - With no miracle in sight, Roman Catholic churches are being asked to ration wine in the latest shortage to illustrate Venezuela's economic troubles.

"We're asking the priests and bishops to ration wine and look for alternatives during this emergency," said Jose Antonio Da Conceicao, a national church official.

Church leaders say the problem arose when the local supplier of the specialty sacramental wine used at Mass had a bad harvest. They turned to importers, but the companies told them it was impossible to obtain dollars to bring the wine into the country because of Venezuela's strict currency controls.

For year we heard about OPEN SOURCE voting software. I assumed it was true.

I am sure most DUers don't appreciate knowlingly posting falsehoods. The poster's own links contradicted the thread title. Quite amusing actually. Not sure what the purpose is, maybe protect a dying a regime, or blame outside influences for that death.

The idea is that if the post is long enough and where 90% of it is cut and paste from previous posts that people will just accept it without carefully reading it.

It worked on me. I bought the open source lie for years. I couldn't possibly think that someone would conduct such an open and brazen lie.

I will say the 7 BILLION number is true.

We were told for years that it was OPEN SOURCE and then anyone could see how the results were tabulated. It turns out that was a lie.
