German tourist murdered in Margarita Island

Tourists were on a cruise ship and disembarked to do a tour. The two delinquents surprised some of the tourists and threatened to rob them. Incident occurred at a batting cage.


Porlamar.- Sujetos armados asesinaron a un turista alemán que estaba en un centro de bateo del municipio Maneiro, en Pampatar, tras interceptarlo para robarlo.

El hecho ocurrió la tarde de hoy, según reportes policiales de la entidad. No aportaron la identidad del turista.

Dijeron, que la víctima había llegado al país en un crucero y los pasajeros desembarcaron para realizar un tour por la isla.

Cuando estaban en el lugar referido, dos sujetos en moto sorprendieron a parte de los viajeros y los amenazaron para robarlos.

Al parecer hubo un forcejeo entre el alemán y uno de los maleantes, quien le disparó y lo mató. Otro turista resultó herido. A ambos los trasladaron hasta la Clínica La Fe.

4. Damn shame...

He was there to get some R&R and enjoy the nice, warm tropical weather he doesn't get at all back home, only to have his life ended by some street-dwelling, trigger-happy scumbag. If the crime continues to be as unaddressed as its been under this regime, Venezuela's image is gonna be hurt so bad that no foreigner will dare set foot on it.
