Rich protesters trying to oust President Nicolas Maduro again take to the streets of Caracas
Hooded rightwingers rampaged through Caracas streets on Sunday night, hurling rocks and Molotov cocktails at Venezuelan riot police.
Masked youths battled police, protesters burned and hanged effigies of socialist President Nicolas Maduro from lamp-posts while marchers demanded the "resurrection" of democracy.
Disgraced and dismissed opposition MP Maria Corina Machado joined several hundred members of the right-wing Voluntad Popular (Popular Will), a far-right party whose leader Leopoldo Lopez has been jailed since February.
Ms Machado was barred from the National Assembly after speaking to the US-dominated Organisation of American States as part of a Panamanian delegation.
Four people were injured in unrest that erupted in Caracas's up-market Chacao neighbourhood after police returned fire with rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannon.

(135,425 posts)Those "rich kids" are throwing back the tear gas that was fired at them from the poor defenseless National Guard, with their body armor, armored vehicles, and assorted weapons designed to inflict grievous bodily injury! They're being shot down with rubber bullets, bean bags, real bullets and mowed down with water cannon!

Student demonstrator Bassil Da Costa, who was shot in the head, is carried to a police vehicle after clashes broke out between opposition protesters with security forces and pro-government supporters during a protest against the government in Caracas, Venezuela....
Here, watch Maduro's Colectivos murder Bassil da Costa, why don't you?

Family members and friends of 22-year-old Genesis Carmona say the former Miss Tourism 2013 for the central Venezuelan state of Carabobo was shot down by members of the armed militias known as "colectivos" who opened fire on a demonstration in Valencia on Tuesday.

(135,425 posts)You question anything that brings that scumbag's disreputable behavior into the spotlight. You defend his murder of young adults.
It's not surprising.
It's also not surprising that you would call good kids murdered by this regime, student leaders with bright futures, and a doggone Tourism "beauty queen" a phrase like "filthy fascists."
You really have gone too far. You went way over the line with this comment:
5. I question again that the National Guard shot down anyone, including these filthy fascists

I think it's important to memorialize that remark.

If you do, go ahead and post it.
On edit:
Here's what a photo of National Guard shooting down students with live ammunition looks like.

(2,035 posts)You just can't let go the fact that a so-called "socialist" regime (it's actually a cleptocracy more than anything. Want an example that comes closest to an actually socialist government? Take a look at the Scandinavian nations) is committing atrocious acts against civilians. It's ok, Judy, we all know you're in denial. Some people just can't help being so when they start to see that all that they thought was true was nothing but a lie. Hopefully someday you'll finally accept it and move on, and hopefully when that day comes you'll be a more free-thinking individual who is not indoctrinated by any kind of ideology.

http://www.eluniversal.com/nacional-y-politica/140222/murio-la-estudiante-geraldine-moreno
Here is a "fun" link for you, full of examples of GNB shooters and the havoc they wreaked--but I warn you, the images are violent so click with that foreknowledge. They make your gratuitous post of Kent State look like a walk in the park.

(2,035 posts)Yeah, you're REALLY making a case for yourself here, Judy. Bravo. Totally unbiased and objective view you have. Did you miss the detail about a couple of Sebin officials being arrested for Basil Da Costa's murder? It even shows up in pro-government media.
You're a really sickening and despicable person. The level of resentment you have is not healthy. I really think you probably should check a shrink or something, that much hate can be very harmful to have.

This is the commendable quote to which I attempted to call your attention by asking if you had any proof to what you wrote. You took off in a totally direction so I continued to refer you to this pearl:

It is not my fault you can't tell a pearl when it is placed before you. Try looking at the cites instead of huffily transmitting invective like "filthy fascists" about dead, youthful college student protesters on occasion.
Maybe then people will take you seriously.
