Ex-Army contractor admits to relationship with 13-year-old

An American who oversaw computer technology at a military base in Honduras has admitted to having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl there, according to court records.
William McGrath, 54, who contended the girl had at first deceived him about her age, had challenged whether the U.S. government had the authority to prosecute him for something that occurred outside U.S. borders.
With his recent guilty plea at the federal courthouse in Houston, McGrath concedes that he had illicit sex in a foreign place.
McGrath allegedly met the girl in 2013 at a Honduran supermarket as she was buying her own cake for her 13th birthday, according to the FBI.
