Rubio demands investigation into Nismans death
May 7, 2015 11:07am
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (JTA) U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio introduced a Senate resolution calling for a transparent and internationally backed investigation into the death of Argentine special prosecutor Alberto Nisman.
Rubio, R-Fla., who is a candidate for the Republican presidential race, introduced the resolution on Tuesday for consideration by the Foreign Relations Committee. The resolution noted that Nisman accused Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and her government of covering up Irans role in the deadly 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires. Nismans complaint was dismissed last month on its last appeal.
It also mentions a Nisman investigation into Iranian agents in Latin America that also threaten the United States.
In 2007, a Guyanese man, Abdul Kadir, plotted to blow up John F. Kennedy Airport in New York and was, according to Nisman, the most important Iranian agent in Guyana, Rubio wrote in the bill.

(10,749 posts). . . that Rubio put the word out to his troops to find something - anything - internationally that he can comment on to make him look smart? Mark my words, this is only the first of what's going to be a string of comments on international happenings in order to bolster his foreign policy creds, of which he has none.

(5,902 posts)Because if Rubio's numerous links to drug trafficking were to ever be investigated even half as zealously as the Nisman death is (by a decidedly anti-administration judge, as in the Argentine case), the honorable gentleman from Florida would probably find himself making quite a few new "friends" in federal prison.
