Published 30 May 2015
Leiver Padilla, the accused mastermind of the killing of a Venezuelan politician has been taken into custody in Caracas.
The prime suspect in the murder of a PSUV legislator was handed over to Venezuelan authorities Saturday. Leiver Padilla was transferred over to Venezuelan police shortly after arriving at Maiquetia International Airport.
. . .
The 27-year-old Serra, who was the youngest serving member of the National Assembly, was seen as a rising star of the governing socialist party, the PSUV.
Serra's killing sparked a national outrage, and the government vowed to hunt down those responsible.
Padilla is accused of collaborating with Colombian paramilitaries, acting as part of broader efforts to destabilize the Venezuelan government, including plots to assassinate leftist politicians.

(6,837 posts)His murder was committed by his body guards. He was not married as the government has stated, but had an assistant for his Santeria practices which included touching the heads of dead people at ceremonies.
He was a creep, like most chavistas.

Four accusations against the Deputy Serra during his term..."rape of minors during alleged acts of santeria."

NEW YORK - A New York man who was regarded as a holy man in the practice of Santeria has been charged with the rape and sodomy of three girls who came to him for cures.
Robert Berta, 52, was arrested last week on charges that he raped and sexually abused the three girls, ages 10, 12 and 15, as part of rituals to "cleanse" them, officials said.

(160,525 posts)The from the later part of the "article," is this, google translated:
The deputy was godfather of Santeria Herrera. Two of the six men who had participated in the double homicide were dressed in white, like Santeria.
The night of the murder some residents of La Pastora gained entry into the house Serra, where he lived with his father and three of his assistants, including Herrera. People close to the victim said the body of the woman stood in the doorway of the kitchen, located at the bottom of the housing. Next to the stairs going up to the second level was killed
Serra, right in front of his office. "The two had their mouths covered and hands were bound with masking tapes" said one of the neighbors who saw the crime scene.
The house of the deputy, which from the outside looks simple, has more security measures which can be seen from the outside. There is a closed six-circuit cameras, two are located in the front of the house and the rest are distributed between the bedroom and in the office of parliamentarian.
"One he rang the bell to Robert and he saw from inside who would open. From above he had a control to open or told his attendants to open the door, "said an acquaintance of Serra.
The neighbors heard barking Serra before the cries of the worker who found the bodies were those of Africa, bitch parliamentarian, who had recently given birth and still lives at home with her two cubs.
Oh, really! Sheer brilliance at work. If they were dressed in white, they must be Santaria people. Oh, yes, that makes sense.
