Ecuador Seizes 300 Cocaine Blocks Hidden in CT Scanner
Quito, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) Anti-narcotics agents of Ecuador seized 300 blocks of cocaine hidden in a CT scanner at the airport in the coastal city of Guayaquil, said the Ministry of Interior.
Captain Stalin Salazar, head of the Regional Canine Training Center said that during routine checks in the cargo area, one police dog gave the warning sign in front of a CT scanner that was destined for Guadalajara, Mexico.
The agents discovered the existence of a double bottom and proceeded to open the medical equipment, Captain Salazar said.
Although criminal organizations linked to drug trafficking try to camouflage the drug using new methods, the work of the Anti-narcotics Police neutralizes their actions efficiently, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior.
