Almaty. November 21. KazTAG - Cruz Baena, recently elected mayor of Hidalgotitlan has been murdered, reports Kommersant with a reference to Quadratin.
According to the publication, he has been murdered in his house by a group of unknown people. The source of the portal said several armed persons surrounded his house and claimed him to go outside. K. Baena refused. Then the criminals broke the door and broke in. The mayor and three bodyguards have been killed.
K. Baena was elected from the party New Alliance. He was supposed to assume the office on December 31.

MEXICO CITY, (EL UNIVERSAL) .- A commando shot dead the elected mayor of Hidalgotitlán, Santana Cruz Bahena, in Veracruz. According to the first police reports, Santana Cruz was gunned down outside his home , located on José Azueta Street, in the center of Hidalgotitlán.
According to witnesses, the assailants wore civilian clothes and others wore army uniforms. They were transported in double-cabin redilla trucks and carried long weapons.
