Caracas, March 1 .- The presidential elections were changed for the second half of May 2018, according to the agreement signed Thursday by representatives of candidates Henri Falcón and Nicolás Maduro.
In the text subscribed by Jorge Rodríguez and the opponents Miguel Salazar (Copei), Luis Augusto Romero (Advanced Progressive) and Felipe Mujica (MAS), it is indicated that in the new date established by the National Electoral Council (CNE) a new president, deputies to the legislative councils and members of the municipal councils, thus excluding the proposal of Diosdado Cabello to elect a new National Assembly.
After that, the president of the CNE, Tibisay Lucena, indicated that she is committed "to comply with and enforce this agreement" signed by the political organizations. "So far we have 25 applications that correspond to 14 political groups, to ten own initiatives , " he said.

Why not? The vast majority of parties are boycotting the fraudulent elections for president... why not add to your power base by scheduling other elections to run the electoral table? Not that any of this is Constitutional... but Chavismo doesn't need no stinking Constitution!
