Maduro warns VZ church officials to not "politicize" during holy week. Churches "militarized"

"Militarized" Caracas churches

The most well-known and well-known as The Cathedral, San Francisco, Altagracia and Santa Capilla have the presence of the GNB, the People's Guard and the PNB since last Sunday. They are at the doors, sitting on the benches and in the surroundings. The religious collaborators say that the deployment is not normal, compared to Holy Week 2017.

(Caracas) The main churches of the Caracas center were "militarized" in the face of the celebration of Holy Week 2018. Parishes such as the Cathedral, Santa Capilla, San Francisco, Altagracia, since this Sunday 25 were filled with officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) , the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) and the People's Guard.

They are in the outskirts, they even make rounds in the offices of the parochial houses and inside the facilities.

The preparers of the religious services work tirelessly in the schedule foreseen for this week, even feeling watched by the military personnel, who carry their weapons inside the churches.

José Lor, who for almost a decade has been working on the preparation of the image The Greatest Pain of Christ, said that he had never seen so much military deployment inside the chapels on the eve of Holy Week.

Personnel of the parochial house of the Cathedral informed that "they arrived at the office and they said that they were going to place 25 civil employees". In front of the entrance of the temple they installed an awning.

They did the same in the Altagracia parish, where they bet on 22 soldiers who closely watch the preparations.

The Chavistas are stepping it up a notch! Now that the fraud ANC has passed "The Constitutional Law Against Hate, for Peaceful Coexistence and Tolerance", speaking out against Chavismo is punishable by 20 years in prison. Say so much as "Cilia Flores hair coloring is terrible!", and you get to see the inside of SEBIN's Helicoide prison!

That means, you, Padre!

Maduro isn't shy about arresting the clergy. He made great hay about arresting and jailing various Bishops during Christmas when they spoke out about Chavista injustices. Can't have that sort of talk muddying up the propaganda coming out of Miraflores!
