Cuban Medicine Enters Peru's Market
Lima, May 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's ambassador in Peru, Sergio Gonzalez, today welcomed the next entry to the Peruvian market of the Cuban medicine Heberprot, the only one in the world that heals diabetic foot.
In statements to Prensa Latina, the diplomat stressed the signing of a protocol for the import of the drug, between the Cuban company Heberbiotec and the Peruvian Laboratorios Industriales Farmaceuticos Hersil SA.
After a meeting with the executive director of Hersil SA, Jose Luis Silva Martinot, the ambassador said that the Peruvian firm is one of the most important distributors of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, and has registered Herberprot in Peru, which joins dozens of countries using it.
He recalled that this product has an effectiveness of more than 80 percent to cure diabetic foot and prevent amputation as a result of that condition.
