2. Surely someone's going to see this, in time, who knows, Lake Arenal. Have seen photos of the area.

There are more birds there than just about anywhere else. We want a view of an active volcano.

CR is nearly off the grid.

Very exciting to turn a new page. Going to sell off and become Hobos.

This was merely a very first step. There are chat rooms I know Thought I would try DU, too.

and pleasant places in the world to visit or live. Has it's problems but nothing to compare with US or most of the rest of the world.

5. Tips: (I lived in CR for 5 years)

Visit the Monte Verde Rain forest...some of the best beaches are on the Nicoya Peninsula.
Lots less tourists in the southern part of CR, around Golfito, the Corcovado National Park there is awesome. Also down south is Cerro Chirripó, CR's highest mountain, with forest & wildlife preserves, hiking trails, cloud forests & views. If you rent a car get a 4x4....the small Suzuki is a good deal. I prefer visiting Irazu volcano to Poas. Manuel Antonio park is very nice but very touristy.
