Bolivian government relaunches media silenced by coupmongers

Bolivian government relaunches media silenced by coupmongersLa Paz, Nov 24 (Prensa Latina) The government
of Bolivia is preparing today an information strategy that foresees the relaunch of the state-run media silenced
by the de facto government, announced Deputy Minister of Communication Gabriela Alcon.

This proposal is seeking to avoid misinformation with a line that includes social media and digital platforms of these media, the official told Urgente.bo.

Let us incorporate a new image of the state-run media, especially of channel Bolivia TV so that people can identify with the contents, said reporter, presenter and former national head of news in the Abya Yala Televisión channel.

The network of state-run media currently includes Bolivia Tv, Radio Illimani, the Bolivian Information Agency, the Bolivia daily (previously called Cambio) and the National System of Native People's Radios.

The de facto government that took office after the coup against Evo Morales in 2019 seized the national daily (Cambio), several community radios and TV channels.
Former coup Minister of Communication Roxana Lizarraga accused the reporters covering the protests against the coup of being 'seditious.'

She also intimidated the local and foreign press accredited in Bolivia with threats and legal actions, within a context of violence against them, denounced then reporters like president of the Telesur channel Patricia Villegas.
