Fernando Lugo to Meet President Correa in Ecuador

Fernando Lugo to Meet President Correa in Ecuador

Asuncion, Dec 25 (Prensa Latina) Paraguay''s toppled constitutional president, Fernando Lugo, will travel to Ecuador to meet with the head of State, Rafael Correa.

According to an annoucement made by the Guasu Front, a coalition of Paraguayan left-wing parties and organizations led by Lugo, the meeting will be held in Quito on Wednesday.

The Front said the meeting responds to a Correa's invitation. They will discuss the regional situation and the impact of the parlaimentary coup d'etat carried out in Paraguaya last June. Ecuador, as well as the other 12 member countries of the Union of South American Nations, rejected the removal of Lugo and approved the suspension of Paraguay from that body until it returns to the interrupted democratic process.
