The Minister of Justice confirms that at least eight leaders fled the "war" declared by president Bukele
Leaders of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang fled to Mexico to get rid of the war that Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele declared on them, confirmed the government of El Salvador, which plans to expand the emergency regime to continue their fight against that gang.
"Many of those chairs (command posts) that are pending (of captures) we know that they are in Mexico and that from there they are giving instructions in a cowardly way," said the Minister of Justice and Security, Gustavo Villatoro, in an interview on channel 21 from a local television.
The official didnt explain when they fled the country or provide identities. The gang is led by 15 members, which is equivalent to the number of letters with which Mara Salvatrucha is written.
"Of those 15 chairs that governed the structure, the 31 programs (divisions) that the MS has on a national scale, seven of those chairmen are already behind bars," he emphasized.

Alfredo Beltrán Leyva, known as "El Mochomo", a member of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel, a criminal cell that worked with the Sinaloa Cartel, was transferred to the maximum security prison ADMAX Florence, in Colorado where Joaquín "Chapo" Guzmán is serving a life sentence, according to data from the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).
"El Mochomo", registered with the number 58525-007, was in the Hazelton Penitentiary Center, located in Preston County, Virginia, and last March he requested his release through a letter appealing to the First Step Act, which offers "compassionate releases" and provides its beneficiaries with job training, as well as an abbreviated sentence for good behavior.
However, he received no response and was taken to one of the most severe penitentiaries in the United States, known as the 'Hell Hole' or the 'Alcatraz of the Rocky Mountains'.
In addition to the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, the prison holds notorious criminals such as Ted Kczynsi 'Unabomer', Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bomber, Terry Nichols, accomplice in the Oklahoma City bombing, Zacarias Moussaoui, conspirator in the 9/11 attacks, as well as Eric Rudolph, author of the Atlanta '96 Olympic Games bombing.

Police recover two Mercedes-Benz and a Porsche valued at millions of dollars, but three more vehicles have yet to be located
Hitmen from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) broke into a mansion and stole six luxury cars to deliver them to their leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho. The owner of the residence surprised them, but he was scared when he saw them and called the 911 emergency number to report the theft. The Mexican police managed to recover two Mercedes-Benz and a Porsche valued at millions of dollars. There are still three more vehicles to locate.
According to information from the Mexican media, the events occurred in Zapopan, Jalisco, the state from which the CJNG took its name and where it has established its main stronghold, even part of Mencho's close circle lives in that area of Mexico, located in the Pacific Coast. Initially the drug traffickers took two Porsches, three Mercedes-Benzes and a Bentley. Afterwards three of the stolen units were recovered.
At the end of 2021 it surfaced that Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes had a Lamborghini, an Aston Martin and a BMW, although 25 of these cars were confiscated by the Attorney General's Office (FGR) during an operation against the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
In a batch of high-end units, five stand out for their price: a Lamborghini Aventador, Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin Vantage, Jaguar F-Type and a BMW HP4 Race motorcycle. Some Mexican media have pointed out the Mencho and his familys love for rare and eccentric cars. His children own some of them, but the most luxurious one belong to the founder of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
