I'm actually supporting ALL Dems at this point, starting with Sanders in the top spot. But, Joe has been proving himself to be a valued leader as VP, and deserves all consideration.

And I'm with you -- whoever is the Dem candidate whether I like him/her or not, I'll be the first one in line to support and vote.

A while back I said to my friend that I think Joe's time might have passed -- that he IS part of the old school, when parties worked together and members for the most part cared about their constituents and the country rather than what type of gig they could get when they left office. It's a different atmosphere, now.

But seeing him last night, not as Obama/s/WH's champion but as himself, made me go hmmmm......

We'll see. I trust him to make the best decision for us all.

As I posted on another thread, I just don't want him lying his deathbed going "I should have run..."

ESPECIALLY if the "Beau told him to run" story is true. He'd feel EXTRA guilty.

I hope, for his sake, he doesn't run. He'd have the ability and support, but I hope he chooses the easier way.

We honestly don't know which would be best for him -- it might be just the thing that helps him heal -- even if he were to lose.

I want him to do what's best for all involved, and I trust that he will.

But I would with most (some?) of the others, too.

We'll have to see what happens.

I'm happy for Joe that so many people are looking at him through different eyes as a result of this exposure.

I had no dog in the race, as it were, in those days but have always really liked Joe Biden. I came in here to celebrate him getting chosen for VP, exciting stuff.

Mostly I remember you as class acts during that primary season. Sadly you're the only ones I remember that about.

Anyhow, I come back to celebrate with you again, this great man. That interview will stay with me forever.

Actually, I'd forgotten! But now I recall people bitching about others in threads and saying "except for the Bidenites"

To be fair, he wasn't on the stage all that long, so we didn't have a lot of time to get beaten up like those supporting candidates who were actually in for the long haul.

And how nice of you to "gate crash", Julie -- it means a lot to those who love the guy. So very considerate.

ETA: I love your tag line/visual. Wishing the best for your pick, too. Honestly, we each just want who we feel is best for us, I don't understand the animosity toward those supporting others. We can each take strength that WE know better than anyone else.

We really do need REAL change -- and honestly, I think once the whole country gets a look at Bernie his ratings will soar. People are yearning for truth talkers, and as we know, they are few are far between.

God, it is SO GOOD to see all of you!!

I'm so interested to see how this cycle unfolds -- which shocks me. If someone had offered me a magic potion to let me sleep until election day and all I had to do was walk in and punch the D candidate, I would have taken it. But thankfully that didn't happen because seeing the amazing reception Joe got, plus the amazing ratings Bernie is pulling in, make me excited and hopeful!

Again, I'm so happy so many of you are still here. I feel like I'm home.

Joe but seeing him last night on Colbert he seems to still be grieving and it makes me feel that he isn't going to jump into the race. He's aged so much and kept looking down. It looked like he was really trying not to cry. I wish him the best.

A bit stooped, less bounce to his step, a bit drawn and haggard. The footage of him in the parade the other day, though, looked like the old Joe. Grieving is a wave, a process, good days, bad days, a few steps forward, one step back -- as we all know. Maybe it was a low day for him.

I think after that show, America sincerely wishes him the best.
