(45,851 posts)Do you feel really comfortable writing regularly about economics?

(45,851 posts)That post was basically just my own observations drawn from personal experience and a lot of reading mixed with a dash of logic.
On the other hand I'm not too bad at rhetoric and I don't mind learning new things.
I'm probably not a good fit for a regular thing but I do occasionally have an inspired moment I guess.
On the other other hand Manny and I agree that sometimes experts in something are not the best to write about them or at least those writings should be vetted by someone intelligent who isn't an expert in the field.

(8,718 posts)I have submerged myself so much in financial sector current events as a result of Wall st blowing up during the 2008 election, and making excellent blame game fodder for the GOP majority deregulation ideology that dismantled Glass-Steagal and legalized bucket shops with the shadow banking system, that IO am able to rattle off factoids that dismantle the "government made banks loan to minorities" as the cause. But I am most definitely just playing an expert on TV
I did learn some very good econ for laypersons from a Community college professor's blog, called EconProf. His name is Jim Luke and he would be my ideal blog partner, but alas he teaches and is not even a regular blogger.

Actually your literary creativity might be really good for JPG memes. They are actually more effective in reach than longer prose.
I want to build as many page likes as humanly possible going onto the 2016 election.
