1. In my county protesters demanded that their children not be forced to wear masks in school.

I thought, "What's the problem? You can just keep them home." But they don't want that, either. They don't want their kids around, and they don't want them kept safe from disease. Someone should look into how much life insurance they have on these kids.

2. Just shaking my damn head

What in the name of all that's right and good is WRONG with these people?

Maybe you're right. Maybe they want them to die for the insurance money. That makes more sense than anything else I can think of.

3. I made the life insurance joke to my wife and she said:

"These are the same people who send their kids to school when they are sick and then turn their phones off so the school can't reach them and demand they come take their sick kids home. They don't want to have to take time off work to take care of their own sick children."

Before she retired, she worked as a secretary in the local school system, so her complaint comes from first hand knowledge.
