Petition Statement
The NBA shouldn't reward companies who attack their workers. As long as Cablevision CEO James Dolan fires his workers just for speaking out on the job, the NBA should host the 2015 All-Star Game at the new Barclay's Center, not Cablevision-owned Madison Square Garden.
Petition Background
NBA players know that unions are important for protecting workers on the job. The National Basketball Players' Association has a long history of keeping players safe, and the National Basketball Referees' Association ensures fair compensation for the unsung heroes of the game.
All workers deserve the same protections.
James Dolan doesn't believe that. Just a few weeks ago, his company illegally locked out and fired almost two dozen workers who were trying to talk to a manager about negotiating a fair contract. Most of those workers have still not been allowed back to their jobs.
