a question about amazon farming-

it is my understanding that after burning the forest, the land is only fruitful for a couple of years. and then they move on to virgin forest.

is this correct?
if it is, just how much area is comprised of degraded land?

and are there groups working on regenerative ag there? seems like sending a few bucks that way could actually be worth something.

that are not rich in nutrients. So this is basically murdering a planetary treasure that is irreplaceable for a couple of years of farming. Not to mention the wildlife. What kind of a person can allow this? Does Bolsonaro understand the enormity of what he is doing?
