COP26: Arnold Schwarzenegger angered by world leaders' climate policies

Arnold Schwarzenegger says leaders who claim combating climate change hurts the economy are "stupid or liars".

Ahead of the COP26 climate summit, the former governor of California told the BBC that cutting carbon emissions will benefit global economies.

The Terminator actor said reducing meat intake does not have to mean sacrificing something - instead cutting his own has led him to be healthier.

He also took aim at pollution caused by international trade.

I'm greatly amused that he converted his huge Hummer to electric, and I enjoy his optimism.

He was not quite so progressive while governor.

He was mistaken.

Overall, I think his term as Governor was less of a catastrophe than any actual Republican politician might have wrought

I can't even imagine what kind of damage a Governor Darrell Issa would have done.

Crushing Darell Issa's political ambitions was one of Schwarzenegger's great accomplishments, even if it was an accident of vanity.

To do some good things the past several years, like making a video showing exactly how to wash hands to avoid Covid (in the beginning).

And he has a pony living in his house. Gotta love that!

He makes a lot of very Dem statements, and actions (like on climate change). Now, if he would just lose that Big Businessman persona. Wonder if he's stopped smoking cigars?
