I regularly do "Zillow Porn" on Venice, FL, where my MIL lives. Not because I want to move down there. It's because I'm keeping tabs on how much she can sell her house for should she choose to move back north. I have noticed a dramatic uptick in the number of properties for sale since Hurricane Ian hit. One of them is in her little development. It's selling for less than the standard market price than the others, because of mold damage.

Seems like the snowbirds are coming down to check on their properties and finding that the damage is too much for them to deal with.
