...David Wallace-Wells knows his stuff, and he's REALLY good at giving quality, science- and truth-filled responses to the rightwing climate talking-points that seem to be everywhere these days (even here on DU) without coming across as though he needs to argue or debate over known facts.

His take on how we are all just accepting these monstrous climate/societal/life changes, like frogs in a boiling pot, is spot on, and to me, terrifying.

It's very accessible to the layman since he's a journalist not a scientist.

My only problem with the book and he also said it in a talk a few years ago (paraphrasing) it's easy to just blame the fossil fuel companies but we need to get past that and focus on solutions.

Um, no. The FF companies are still getting away with raking in the money and using our tax dollars to do it! Blame where blame is due.

Good to see you TA!

Think. Again.

...doing EVERYTHING THEY CAN to stop us from finding and implementing any solutions, and they have tons of money to do that with.

We already have the solutions we need and will continue to find more, but the next step must be to eliminate the powerful industry that is deadset on stopping us from using those solutions to transition away from their cash-cow products.

(Great to see ya Brenda!)
