We cannot afford to avoid developing alternative sources of energy.

We will need every source of energy we can get.

The oil and gas industry is like an older sibling who fears that the birth of a younger brother or sister will take is mommy and daddy away. Alternative energy will not appreciably reduce the need for oil and gas because they are necessary for making so many things. Burning oil and gas for heat is just primitive. Some burning of oil and gas may be necessary for a long time, but oil in particular is useful for so many things besides fuel. We shouldn't waste it by burning it. And coal-mining is destroying our landscape.

There shouldn't be any disagreement about this at all.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]I'm really looking forward to seeing him swing into action. Teresa will be a wonderful asset to this position, as well.
