Global warming worries the military, governments, insurance companies, builders, farmers, urban planners, doctors, road engineers and climatologists.

The resulting rising seas alarm residents of low-lying neighborhoods in Hampton Roads and Miami and New Orleans and New Jersey and New York and Massachusetts.

It all concerns Wall Street and a business community less animated by the politics of climate change than its implications.

Those are monstrously expensive, according to the "Risky Business" report released earlier this year by an organization led by Michael R. Bloomberg (former New York mayor and head of a large communications empire), Henry Paulson (former treasury secretary to President George W. Bush and chairman of Goldman Sachs), and Tom Steyer (financier, green energy activist and one of Gov. Terry McAuliffe's biggest backers).
