If we were smart we would negotiate with China on Wind Farm sales for our imports from China

The newest Wind Turbines are cost competitive with coal. We imported $467 Billion in merchandise from China in 2014. What we ought to do is talk to them about their buying a few billion dollars of Wind Turbines (or installed Wind Farms) from us or we might look elsewhere for some of our imports from them.

This would help out our balance of payments and the Earth's atmosphere!

Considering how big a customer we are of their's I think they would give our idea some serious consideration.
