What's Wrong With Congress?
Some nasty bad-for-birds proposals are wending their way through Congress this month. The Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA) in particular has come under severe attack. If current proposals had been law in 2010, BP wouldn't have been liable for the deaths of countless birds when the Deepwater Horizon oil well blew. We've seen anti-conservation spasms before, and we've overcome them. But we all need to make our voices heard!
