Man Who Broke Puppy's Bones and Burned Her With Boiling Water Gets 16-Week Sentence

LIVERPOOL, U.K.

A tiny King Charles Spaniel puppy named Daisy suffered from multiple broken bones and severs burns all over her body after being abused in secret for months.

The veterinarian says the puppy had nine broken ribs and a broken pelvis.
The abuser reportedly poured boiling liquid onto the puppy's head.

The prosecutor in the case against 33-year-old Mark Simon Sharp said that Daisy would cower away in terror and urinate when her abuser was near.

Sharp, who pleaded guilty to harming Daisy, was sentenced to only 16 weeks in jail.
