this week provided a view of two nations threatening to use nuclear weapons to win a standoff between two nuclear powers. The Cuban Missile Crisis with leaders President John F. Kennedy and Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev had them in an impasse with the lives of humanity hanging in the balance.

Currently, this proxy war between the West and Russia has started escalating into a very dangerous area/territory of threat to humanity again from nuclear war. Mr Putin's mistake in seeing Ukraine as a pushover state has caused him to now start making open threats of using low-yield tactical nuclear weapons as an option for making Ukraine a part of his "Mother Russia". Ukraine and the West say no to him and his wish for a larger fascist nation. Will this standoff evolve into the nuclear Armageddon feared by many sane people? In Russia and the 'West'?

Not to nitpick, but you've set the poll up to vote on the question, rather than Gaugamela Oct 2022 #1

voting on possible answers. Also, you would need to separate the two questions into different possible answers.
