Merry Christmas and get out of Israel, you blood-drinking Christian vampires

http://mondoweiss.net/2015/12/christmas-christian-vampires

The Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism wrote a letter to the state prosecutor calling for an investigation over Gopstein’s latest remarks, listing numerous incidents of incitement. But Gopstein is Israel’s teflon man, nothing sticks to him. He was arrested for incitement last December, along with other members of La Familia, after the torching of a bilingual school in Jerusalem. Israeli defense minister Moshe Ya’alon considered declaring Lahava a terrorist organization at that time, but Gopstein suggested outlawing the Islamist Movement instead. Coincidentally (or not), last month the government of Israel did outlaw the Islamic Movement of Northern Israel and shut down 17 affiliated charities.

However, Gopstein remains free. Meanwhile, Haaretz reports indictments have not been served on the torching of the bilingual school and “it seems the case is going to be closed.” The state prosecutor’s office received the Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism letter calling for an investigation, but ” “no decision has been made yet” on the Lehava case.”

Gopstein is the leader of a Kahanist network that has wreaked criminal havoc all over Israel and Palestine. From the torching of mosques, churches and schools, to price tag attacks, to murder. Investigations come and go, everything seems to fall off him like water off a duck’s back. No wonder Gopstein and his cohorts keep smiling.

Radical right-wing wedding video condemned

Guests are seen dancing with guns and knives, and even stabbing a picture of murdered Palestinian baby, in wedding video.

Elisha Ben Kimon, Kobi Nahshoni, Yoav Zitun
Latest Update: 12.24.15, 08:24 / Israel News

A video aired on Wednesday documented a radical right-wing couple's wedding in which guests danced with guns, knives, and Molotov cocktails. At one point, a reveler is seen repeatedly stabbing a picture of the infant Ali Dawabsheh, who died in a fire suspected to have been a terror attack committed by radical right Jews.

The youths seen in the video were said to be familiar with the suspects being questioned in connection with the murders of three members of the Dawabsheh family, including baby Ali and his two parents.

It was screened in full for right-wing activists in Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon's office.

The Defense Ministry declined to comment on the video, merely noting that it reaffirms Ya'alon's condemnation on Tuesday of incitement against the Shin Bet, which is questioning the suspects.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, meanwhile, did issue a condemnation of the video, saying, "The shocking pictures that were broadcast this evening show the true face of a group that constitutes a danger to Israeli society and to the security of Israel. We are not prepared to accept people who deny the laws of the state and do not view themselves as subject to them. The pictures underscore how important a strong Shin Bet is to the security of us all."

Sources who saw the complete video reported that it becomes even more disturbing.

Some on the right called for people to distance themselves from those in the video following its release.

"We were stunned for a few minutes," said Yesha Council Chairman Avi Roeh, who viewed the video in Ya'alon's office. "There were parts that I couldn't watch. It's shocking. We couldn't believe there are such radical youths. This is a group that doesn't belong to anything, and certainly not to us. What I was afraid of is occurring – we are being forced into a defensive position, even though I feel that we don't have to defend ourselves. There will always be a few politicians who will try to goad us. These things don't happen in our neighborhood."

The bride and groom in the video are well-known among the radical right. The video and other materials from the wedding have been given to Judea and Samaria District Police ahead of a planned investigation.

"Such acts are not the way of Judaism," said Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi David Lau. "It's a rejection and repudiation of the values of the Jewish people, of the Jewish Torah, and of the uniqueness of the Jewish people. Parents and educators must take it upon themselves, along with law enforcement, to do everything possible to prevent such horrifying identification with acts of terror and appalling murder."

Meanwhile, questioning of the suspects in the Dawabsheh murders has continued.

Itamar Eichner contributed to this report.

Police Investigates Wedding Video of Settlers Dancing With Weapons and Singing Revenge Songs

The video also shows one guest stabbing a photo of the Palestinian boy killed in the Duma firebombing.

Chaim Levinson Dec 24, 2015

The Judea and Samaria district police said on Thursday it opened an investigation into a video shot at a wedding which shows Jewish radicals stabbing a photograph of the Palestinian toddler who was killed in the Duma firebomb attack. A statement said the inquiry commenced a few days ago.

The police said they were looking into the "numerous and serious offenses seen in the video," including those who were careless with their weapons. The police intends to question those responsible and to revoke their gun licenses.

The video shows Orthodox youths at a Jerusalem wedding singing songs of revenge and dancing with guns and knives. One masked youth holds up a firebomb, while another is seen stabbing a photo of Ali Dawabsheh, the toddler killed along with his parents in the West Bank arson attack earlier this year.

According to Channel 10, IDF-issued rifles and licensed pistols were passed around at the reception from hand to hand, including to children. The wedding was of a couple “very well known in the radical right,” said the report.

The video was condemned across the political spectrum. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the "shocking images" expose "the real face of a group that poses danger to Israeli society and security." Zionist Union MK Tzipi Livni also denounced the video, calling those who participated "a group that wants to destroy Jewish Israel."

The clip itself is only a small part of the total gathered evidence, which was sent to the prosecutor's office for review.

4. Meet Judeo-ISIS: The Inevitable Result of Israel’s Presence in the West Bank
Thu Dec 24, 2015, 08:58 AM
Dec 2015
Footage showing settlers celebrating the death of a Palestinian baby 'outraged' politicians - who took no responsibility for their role in creating the monster.

Asher Schechter Dec 24, 2015

The footage shown on Channel 10 news Wednesday night can only be described as “sickening”.

The video, which was seized by Israeli police, shows hundreds of Jews dancing at a Jerusalem wedding, guns and knives in hand. One stabs at a photo of Ali Dawabsheh, the baby who was burned alive along with his parents by Jewish terrorists in the West Bank village of Duma earlier this year. Another is holding up a Molotov cocktail.

While this is going on, the participants - many of them friends of the suspects in the Duma firebombing, according to Channel 10 - sing in praise of vengeance. Guns are passed among the celebrants, including children.

In the early 1980s, the Israeli philosopher Yeshayahu Leibowitz coined the highly controversial term “Judeo-Nazis” to describe Israel’s conduct during the First Lebanon war and Israel's mounting militarization. But that was then. The footage of extremists now celebrating the cold-blooded murder of an innocent toddler begs a more up-to-date term for this sort of bloodlust, motivated by religious fanaticism – Judeo-ISIS, perhaps.

The video was met with wall-to-wall condemnation. "Shocking," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the images, adding that they exposed “the real face of a group that poses danger to Israeli society and security.” Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid said “these people are not Jews and they must be fought against, same as Hamas or Hezbollah.” Even the Yesha Council of Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria expressed outrage.

The outrage of the Israeli politicians should with a healthy grain of salt.

The malignant tumor that is Judeo-ISIS did not grow in a vacuum. It was fermented by right-wing MKs funneling money and resources to settlements for decades; making racist statements in order to pander to right-wing radicals; taking selfies with Meir Kahane-supporting thugs in full fascist regalia, like Culture Minister Miri Regev; it was abetted by politicians who launched social media campaigns in favor of torture and death penalties, like former MK Sharon Gal; who called for the destruction of Gaza and the indiscriminate killing of Palestinians during Operation Protective Edge, like Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked; who incited against “Arab voters going to the polls in droves” in order to get reelected, like Netanyahu.

The images of this horror wedding are reprehensible, but it’s important to put our disgust into context. The images did not reveal anything we didn’t know. They are not the first of their kind. Such “celebrations”, featuring the same sort of racist chants and bloodlust, have been taking place for two decades at least.

This clip was not an anomaly and the celebrants are not some fringe pohenomenon. It is a manifestation of a malignancy that has been allowed to grow and metastasize, thanks to opportunist politicians and public apathy.

It is the inevitable result of ministers inciting people from settlement rooftops, it is the result of MKs calling for the Supreme Court to be demolished with bulldozers, of MKs calling Palestinians “animals”, of ordinary people beating foreigners bus stations while screaming “death to Arabs!”, of thugs looking for Arabs to beat up in the streets of Jerusalem - and seeing they can get away with it.

But it’s not just  politicians on the right who should take responsibility. Left-wing and centrist politicians also played an important part in creating the atmosphere that led to the radicalization of the right, whether by turning a blind eye to it, or by actively pandering to Israel’s increasingly right-leaning electorate.

The clip is the inevitable result of Israel's continued presence in the West Bank. It is also the result of incessantly denying evidence contradicting Israel's self-image as the most moral nation that ever was. (As luck would have it, the release of the wedding video comes at the heels of a very public, very ugly onslaught carried out by right-wing and centrist politicians against Breaking the Silence and other left-wing NGOs that try to remind Israelis of the moral price involved with occupying millions of Palestinians.)

Israeli society is behaving like a man who accuses the doctor telling him he has cancer of lying - then expresses shock when he finds that the tumor he refused to acknowledge has metastasized.

Despite the platitudes of right-wing politicians, it seems Israel is far from ready to acknowledge its sickness.

It doesn’t take an oracle to predict that Israeli politicians will continue to shirk their responsibility for the growth of Jewish terrorism. Already, the footage has been co-opted to propel government efforts to empower Israel’s security establishment even more: Shortly after the images were broadcast, Netanyahu said they show "how important it is to have a strong Shin Bet.”

The release of this video during a heated public debate over the alleged torture of the Duma suspects is also far from coincidental.

And if the only lesson Israel learns from this is that the solution to right-wing radicalization is to strengthen the mechanisms of occupation, the same mechanisms that allowed it to exist in the first place, then Jewish extremists can go on celebrating for a long, long time.

5. Palestinians Launch Fireworks, Wave Flags to Celebrate Brutal Murder of Israeli Couple
Thu Dec 24, 2015, 10:15 AM
Dec 2015

Throngs of Palestinians took to the streets on Thursday night to celebrate the brutal slaying of an Israeli couple in a shooting attack in the West Bank.

The festivities included the launching of fireworks and the waving of flags in the streets, Ofir Gendelman, a spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

Would that be Palestino-ISIS?

Or is the celebration of the murder of Israeli Jews so commonplace among Palestinians that there isn't a special name for it?

Gendelman posted on Twitter a photo of the scene. Most of the flying banners were of the Palestinian Fatah faction, the armed wing of which claimed responsibility for the attack that killed Eitam and Naama Henkin. Revelers in Nablus, near the site of the shooting, set off fireworks, he said, adding that Palestinians on social media networks were “ecstatic” about the killings.

Leading members of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party, Azzam Al-Ahmad and General Sultan Abu Al-Einen, praised the attack, Gendelman said. He added that General Al-Einen, who serves as Abbas’ adviser on NGOs, called for more attacks on Israelis.

9. NY Times: Palestinian Gunmen Kill Israeli Parents of 4 in West Bank

Dec 2015

JERUSALEM — An Israeli couple were shot to death Thursday in the West Bank by Palestinians while driving in their car with their four young children, according to the Israeli military and emergency services.

The children — ages 9, 7, 4 and 4 months — were in the back seat and were unharmed, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said. The victims were identified as Eitam and Naama Henkin, in their 30s, residents of the West Bank settlement of Neria.

Hamas, the Islamic militant group that controls Gaza, praised the shootings without claiming responsibility. “A greeting of glory and pride to the heroes who perpetrated this brave attack,” Iyad al-Buzom, a spokesman for the Hamas-run Interior Ministry in Gaza, wrote on his Facebook page.

7. What is the problem oberliner ?

You dont like the term ' Judeo-ISIS ' ??

What would you prefer ?

Should we stick to ' Kahanists ' ?????..............

You’d think, based on these vociferous condemnations, that no one had ever seen Kahanists enthusiastically and publicly espousing violent racism. Celebrating the murder of a baby is an obvious indicator of pathological hatred, yet these people and their acts of hatred have been well covered by the media. Two years ago, at another wedding, we see an almost identical scene — masked hilltop youth dancing with knives and singing a Hebrew version of the Horst Wessel Lied.

On that occasion, Hebron settler leader Bentzi Gopstein was marrying off his daughter and Channel 2′s Ohad Hemo was there to report. No one tries to hide their views. When Hemo asks Gopstein whether there are any Palestinian wait staff at the wedding hall, Gopstein answers smugly that he checked to make sure there were no Arabs there. At 1:39 he says, “If there were Palestinians here they would not be serving food. They would be in the hospital.”

This is an ideé fixe one hears pretty much all the time in Israel, including from mainstream liberals. Yes, they say, we have some horrible rotten apples among us, but when they commit acts of wanton violence against Palestinians — like the Dawabsheh murders or the 2014 abduction and immolation of Mohammed Abu Khdeir — we condemn it and feel really, really bad about it. But when Palestinians murder Jews, goes the relentlessly repeated received wisdom, people celebrate on the streets of Ramallah and hand out sweets to children.

Don’t bother trying to tell them they’re wrong, that Palestinian society is just as complex as Jewish Israeli society. It won’t help to remind them that Jews sat on a hilltop overlooking Gaza and cheered as they watched the Israeli army bombard the coastal territory in 2009, 2012 and 2014, killing hundreds of children along with adult non combatants. They’ll flap a hand at you and tell you “that’s different.”

You’d have an easier time trying to convince a Trump supporter that President Obama should hand out Green Cards to all the undocumented Mexicans living in the United States.

Heirs of Hatred: Jewish Extremists Are Settlement Enterprise's New 'Pioneers'

A straight line links the arson-murder in Duma, the 'wedding of hate' video and a new law that passes funds to the settlements – and no one should be surprised.

Haaretz Editorial Dec 24, 2015

The wedding video aired on Channel 10 news on Wednesday night sent shock waves through Israel. The pictures of Jewish extremists dancing at the nuptials of friends from the settlements of Yitzhar and Kfar Tapuach, brandishing guns and knives, and singing revenge songs, went far beyond distasteful. One of the dancers was shown holding a firebomb menacingly in his hand, while his friend stabbed a photograph of the infant Ali Dawabsheh, who was burned to death in Duma over the summer. These acts triggered denunciations – and for good reason – from almost every quarter, including the prime minister, defense minister and some settler group leaders.

But the public response to this despicable event – as if it were an exceptional case, a “wild weed” in the settlers’ flower bed, boys gone rogue – is a typical deception of the settlers and their sympathizers.

No one should be surprised by this blood wedding, certainly not the settlers and their henchmen. On Tuesday, Jewish extremists carried out another terror attack, throwing smoke grenades at a Palestinian home in the West Bank while the parents and their baby slept inside. It is abundantly clear that these are not isolated incidents.

The settlers’ leaders cry out and demonstrate every evening against proceedings in the interrogation of their friends who are murder suspects in the Duma case. But at the same time, the new marauders, as well as those celebrating at the wedding, prove that some of the settlers have learned nothing from the Duma affair and are determined to continue their alleged crimes.

These Jewish extremists are the new “pioneers” of the settlement enterprise. Their ideological fathers also stopped at nothing – from land theft, to pogroms against Palestinians, to setting up underground terror movements. These new extremists are their heirs. That’s how it is in a crime-ridden neighborhood: When the foundation is criminal, the crimes that emerge from these rotten beds are expected inevitable – and no one should be surprised.

A straight line links the crime in Duma, the wedding video and a new law that was passed Thursday morning. The Knesset voted through Habayit Hayehudi MK Bezalel Smotrich’s proposal that allow the transfer of funds intended mainly for the construction of settlements from the government to the World Zionist Organization’s Settlement Division, and contrary to the express opinion issued by the deputy attorney general. This money will also benefit those who reveled in the blood of the infant from Duma.

13. Meretz chief: Probe rabbis who back right-wing extremism
Sat Dec 26, 2015, 07:40 AM
Dec 2015
Zahava Gal-on says behavior of young religious radicals cannot take place without the support and encouragement of spiritual leaders

BY TIMES OF ISRAEL STAFF December 26, 2015

Meretz leader Zahava Gal-on called on Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein on Saturday to open an investigation into rabbis who she says are supporting right wing extremists and behavior such as that seen in what has been dubbed the “hate wedding.”

Dozens of guests at a far-right wedding earlier this month, where the murders of a Palestinian family were celebrated, will be summoned by police for questioning next week. Videos of the event screened by Israeli media in the past week show revelers dancing with rifles, knives, and firebombs, as well as torching and stabbing a photo of 18-month-old Ali Dawabsha, who was burned to death in the July 31 attack in the West Bank village of Duma.

The groom, along with others in attendance, is reportedly friends with Jewish extremists detained in connection with the attack.

At a cultural event in Neve Monson Saturday Gal-on said “an incited religious group that celebrates the death of a baby their friends burned to death, cannot operate without spiritual leadership.”

She added: “An investigation is required not only against the young men, but also against the rabbis who support them and encourage acts of revenge.”

Gal-on also mentioned “The King’s Torah,” a 2009 religious text which discusses situations in which it is permissible for Jews to kill non-Jews. The book has been accused of promoting violence and racism. Gal-on said the Supreme Court’s decision not to prosecute the two rabbis who wrote the book had only emboldened right-wing extremists.

The rabbi who married the couple at the wedding has blamed the deadly firebombing of the Dawabsha home on the Shin Bet and Arabs....

In a video published by Ynet on Friday, Rabbi Daniel Stavsky, a prominent religious leader among right-wing extremist settlers, says that concerning the torching of the Dawabsha family home, “it’s known that all the actions they want to attribute to Jews — Arabs did, and even the provocateurs of the Shin Bet’s division against Jewish terrorism did it in order to incriminate [settler extremists].”.......

Israeli authorities say the firebombing was the work of Jewish terrorists, and several suspects are in custody.

“All the agencies of evil are against the Jews alone,” Stavsky says in the undated video. He echoes the charges of a suspect’s lawyer, claiming that “in the dark basements of the Shin Bet’s division they’re carrying out terrible, brutal torture against innocents as well as sexual abuses and cruel crimes against humanity.”

In contrast to Stavsky, earlier on Friday nearly 50 religious Zionist rabbis signed a letter condemning all acts of violence against Arabs and expressing support for the Shin Bet national security agency in its investigation of the fatal Duma firebombing attack.

“We condemn and reject all the detestable manifestations of violence and hatred, such as ‘price tag’ [attacks], directed against Arabs,” the 47 religious leaders wrote, referring to anti-Arab attacks and vandalism. “We rule that these actions are entirely contrary to the Torah of Israel and Jewish values.”

A former head of the Shin Bet security service said Friday that the threat posed to Israel by a terrorist “underground” of religious far-right extremists has reached unprecedented levels, worse even than in the lead-up to prime minister Yitzhak Rabin’s assassination in 1995.

“We’re at a worse point than before the assassination of Rabin,” said Carmi Gillon, who headed the agency when Rabin was murdered, in a Channel 2 interview on Friday night.

Gillon said that far-right extremists such as those currently in detention for their suspected involvement in the Duma firebombing in July are “a professional underground in every regard.”
