Washington (CNN)Donald Trump said Wednesday night he'd be "a neutral guy" when it comes to negotiating the Israel-Palestinian conflict, during an MSNBC-hosted town hall.
In an exchange about the potential for a peace agreement, anchor Joe Scarborough asked the Republican front-runner, "Whose fault do you think it is?"
"I don't want to get into it for a different reason, Joe, because if I do win, there has to be a certain amount of surprise, unpredictability," he said at a town hall Wednesday, adding that by declining to tip his hand, he would be in a better position to negotiate.
"Let me be sort of a neutral guy, let's see what -- I'm going to give it a shot. It would be so great," Trump said.

So ya I think because I've seen it happen with Gay rights here in this group by half the group , as long as Israel or Jews are involved all bets are off - so why not Trump?
Same thing happened when Mondoweiss supported Anne Coulter and Donald Trump... And 2 so called progressives in this group went to bat for Mondoweiss.....And why ? They said anti Jewish stuff.

(45,850 posts)Talking to Sean Hannity on Thursday night, Trump said that it was a wonder that the Jewish state would still even talk to the White House, given what he said was shoddy treatment at the hands of the Obama administration.
Israel is so important, Trump said in response to a question about the Middle East, before launching into fierce criticism of the presidents policies.
What Obama has done to Israel is a disgrace. How they even talk to us is hard to believe. How do they talk to Obama? I have friends, they support Obama and I say, How do you do it? Its almost like they do it out of habit. They agree hes been terrible, he said.
You look at what hes done to Israel, with just this Iran deal, which is such a terrible deal. He has been the worst thing thats ever happened to Israel, Trump continued. Now, a lot of my friends that are Jewish do not support him any longer. But I still have some that do. I say, How can you do it?'

(14,851 posts)So really strange so called progressives would go to bat defending Mondoweiss after Mondoweiss writes an essay defending Trump.
http://mondoweiss.net/2015/12/trump-wasnt-semitic/
In this group 2 posters were very vocal defending Mondoweiss in defense of Trump ... And why ? Jews and Israel.
It's quite disgusting, but this OP just gives so called progressives such as Mondoweiss, fuel to further support Trump, and the Mondoweiss supporters in this group too....

(58,724 posts)Thats an actual reflection of Trumps gameboard. Like Hillary Clintons daughter, his married a Jew; so he has Jewish grandchildren. In fact, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who campaigns at times with Trump, had me fired at the NY Observer in 2007, because hes an ardent Zionist who had teamed up with Dershowitz at Harvard. Thats the Zionist gameboard folks.

Very telling paragraph from Mondoweiss. Especially considering the fact that Weiss wasn't fired from the NY Observer.
To wit:
The reasons, Weiss said, were part economic, part political.
I wanted money after a year, and the Observer didnt want to pay me, and they were uncomfortable with my politics, he wrote in an e-mail to the Forward.
Over the past year, Weiss has devoted considerable space on his blog called MondoWeiss (now located at www.philipweiss.org/mondoweiss) to the question of American Jews and Israel. He has been a champion of the controversial paper published last year by political scientists John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, in which they argue that the Israel Lobby wields too much power over American foreign policy.
According to Observer editor Peter Kaplan, Weisss move was initiated not by the paper but by the writer. Though Kaplan conceded that he and Weiss differed over money, he insisted that he has no trouble with Weisss politics.
I love Philip as a writer and as a human being, Kaplan said. As far as Im concerned, he could have run his blog under the Observers auspices forever.
