Dershowitz: Not Surprising ‘Ignoramus’ Bernie Sanders Tapped ‘Professional Israel-Hater’

https://www.algemeiner.com/2016/05/25/dershowitz-not-surprising-ignoramus-bernie-sanders-tapped-professional-israel-hater-for-democratic-policy-committee-interview/

Dershowitz, a fierce defender of Israel and avowed supporter of the Democratic Party, was referring to Arab American Institute (AAI) President James Zogby, whom Sanders tapped on Monday to help draft party policy.

Dershowitz, who said he’s debated Zogby on numerous occasions, explained why he is “not surprised” that the senator from Vermont contending for the Democratic nomination picked him to fill such an influential position. “Bernie Sanders is an ignoramus when it comes to the Middle East, and he is very strongly biased against Israel. He gets his information from hard-Left, anti-Israel sources, and he doesn’t think for himself,” he said.

Regarding another of Sanders’ anti-Israel appointees to the committee — philosopher Cornel West, a BDS proponent who wrote that the crimes of Hamas “pale in the face of the US-supported Israeli slaughter of innocent civilians,” and accused President Obama of being “most comfortable with upper middle-class white and Jewish men who consider themselves very smart, very savvy and very effective in getting what they want”– Dershowitz said, “Putting two Israel-bashers on the committee risks dividing the Democratic Party over an issue on which they’ve always been united.”

We signed a treaty that said we would not do that.

The Constitution says, "This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding."

So we cannot do that.

What’s more, Dershowitz told the American Lawyer, he is loyal to his wife, who is always by his side: “I’ve been married to the same woman for 28 years. She goes with me everywhere. People know that I won’t argue a case or give a speech unless my wife travels with me. This is not the profile of someone who screws around.”

But according to the flight logs, Dershowitz was close enough to Epstein to have accompanied him on a flight from Palm Beach to New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport as early as December 1997. On that flight, the pair was accompanied by a number of people, including one unidentified “female,” a “Hazel,” a “Claire,” and Maxwell.

The logs also show Dershowitz on a flight with Epstein from Bedford, Mass., to Teterboro in October 1998, and a flight from Teterboro to Martha’s Vineyard in 1999. And a 2005 trip from Massachusetts to Montreal shows him traveling with Epstein, “Tatianna,” and others.

One things the logs don’t show: Dershowitz’s wife traveling with him.

in the party overall, because it pits those who think the Democratic Party is insufficiently pacifist against those who know that force is sometimes necessary, it pits those who like a party for the middle class but don't like Jews (and who often thinks the Jews are the reason the party 'sells out the poor') against those who don't mind Jews, Israel haters tend to hate all capitalism whereas supporters normally don't hate all capitalism, it shows the anti-Semitism brewing (which yes, is a form of racism since "racism" refers to racial OR ethnic hatred, and Jewry is an ethnoreligion (both a religion and ethnicity), it pits the academic left with their "critical race/skin color theory" and the Holocaust "merely being white on white violence" against people who know know the struggle Jews faced, etc. (Weirdly enough for the Cornel Wests and even Van Joneses out there, black voters tend to support Israel, but the "critical race" side of the left can't stand that)

Bernie wants to tear the party apart, I'm more convinced than ever. The Israel divide speaks to worldview, view of America in the world, view of
