Excerpt:
Regarding negotiations with Israel, Abu-Marzouq reiterated his partys principled position. Hamas has not and will never negotiate with Israel, he told Al-Resalah, but said negotiations were a moot point, since Benjamin Netanyahu who appears fated to win the upcoming Israeli elections has no intention to resume them.
Abu-Ubaida, a spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, was more explicit than Abu-Marzouq on the prospect of his organizations dissolving.
Dismantling the Al-Qassam Brigades or integrating them into the security forces is not up for discussion. We will not allow talk of it now or in the future, Abu-Ubaida tweeted on Monday. Those who contemplate erasing it will be erased from the pages of history.

(2,927 posts)... at least he said "Israel" and not "the Zionist Entity". By comparison, that makes him Hamas' Ghandi.

(58,724 posts)The Times of Israel translated it as Israel.
In the Iranian press version of the article, "Zionist Regime" is used.

(58,724 posts)If you hold onto it until a Hamas leader announces a permanent peace agreement with the state of Israel (and uses that terminology), you will have that candy forever.

(6,829 posts)just like Fatah = al Asqa brigades.
To try and separate them by calling them a 'wing' of the group is ridiculous.
