On January 4, 2013, Mahmoud Abbas, spoke via video link on a wide screen to the masses in Gaza, who gathered to celebrate the founding of Fatah, (Arabic for conquest) otherwise known as the Palestine Liberation Organization.
In his new years speech, Abbas spoke glowingly of the legacy of the godfather of the PLO, the Mufti of Jerusalem Hajj Muhammad Amin Al-Husseini, who during the 1920s and 1930s instigated pogroms against the Jews of Palestine and who during his residence in Nazi Germany actively plotted a Final Solution to be carried out once his German allies would win the war. Abbas praised the Mufti as a man whose ways should be emulated by all Palestinian Arabs.
We must remember the pioneers, the Grand Mufti of Palestine, Hajj Muhammad Amin Al-Husseini, as well as Ahmad Al-Shukeiri, the founder of the PLO, Abbas said according to a translation of the speech made by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
At the time, our agency asked Israeli President Shimon Peres and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for comment on the Muftis praise of Hitlers ally. Since the Israeli government is on record as defining Abbas as a partner for peace, one would have expected a response which expressed horror and revulsion. Instead, there was silence from the highest officials of the Israeli government.
Peress office said that there would be no response.
Netanyahus office said that there would be a response, in due time.

He left a signature of {real) men"
After a nine-year-old girl was shot in the Israeli town of Psagot in the West Bank yesterday, the administrator of an official Fatah Facebook page praised the terrorist shooter. He related the attack to a sniper attack that killed an Israeli soldier in Hebron two weeks ago. Writing on behalf of Fatah, the page administrator praised "the sniper of Palestine" who began his work in Hebron (the shooting of the soldier), passed through El-Bireh (the shooting of the girl), and - according to the Fatah Facebook page administrator - will continue in more places in the future:
[Facebook, "Fatah - The Main Page," Oct. 6, 2013]
In the Israeli Cabinet meeting this morning, Prime Minister Netanyahu referred to the shooting, and assigned full blame to the Palestinian Authority and to "the ongoing incitement in the Palestinian media":
"We do not content ourselves with the fact that our staunch security policies have made this the most quiet year in a decade in terms of terrorist attacks. First of all, we detect an increase in terror attacks recently, and I must say that as long as incitement continues in the Palestinian media, the (Palestinian) Authority cannot evade responsibility for these incidents."
{Quoted in Maariv, Oct. 6, 2013}
Palestinian Media Watch has documented Fatah and the PA's continued glorification of terrorists.
Last week, the PA held a memorial for terrorist Abu Sukkar who killed 15 Israelis with a bomb. In a speech, PA Chairman Abbas himself stated that "Fatah lost a beacon."
Note: The Facebook page where this glorification of "the sniper of Palestine" was posted, called "Fatah - The Main Page," is an official Fatah Facebook page. The page defines itself as belonging to the Fatah Mobilization and Organization Commission. Each Fatah commission has an official website. The official website of Fatah's Mobilization and Organization Commission links to this Facebook page.

Good to see someone carrying on his torch
but it would seem you're accusing our POTUS and SoS of negotiating with Nazi sympathizers? Fascinating that
