Posted on December 19, 2013 by JNS.org.
(JNS.org) The Palestinian Authority held an event approved by President Mahmoud Abbas honoring several released Palestinian terrorists with plaques of honor. The terrorists were invited on stage to receive the awards.
Later in the event, Palestinian young adults performed a play in which they portray the uniting of Fatah and Hamas supporters, who together shoot and kill Israelis. In the play, the characters also shoot a Palestinian who has been spying for Israel, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported.
[Fatah and Hamas], unify your ranks. Palestine is calling you. Al-Aqsa [Mosque] is calling you. Haifa, Acre, Jaffa, Lod, Tiberias, Ramle and Safed (all are cities in Israel), all of Palestine is calling you from the river (Jordan) to the deep sea (Mediterranean, i.e., all of Israel), a girl said in the play.
Do you remember this guy that you saw here? He's a traitor, a damn spy. In life, it's either victory or Martyrdom death for Allah, a boy said on stage.

(30,099 posts)An Israeli district court judge metes out scathing criticism of Palestinian Media Watch director Itamar Marcuss expert witness testimony on incitement in Palestinian media, in a civil case against the PA and its leaders. Marcuss testimony, Judge Dalia Gano wrote, was incomplete, biased and unworthy of the title expert witness testimony.

Marcus is a featured source for the documentary Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West.
Marcus is a former vice president of the Central Fund of Israel.[3] Originally from New York, he now lives in the Israeli settlement of Efrat in the West Bank.[4][5]

The Central Fund of Israel
is an American non-profit association which funds projects in Israel, including, according to Politico, Israeli pro-settler groups.[1][2][3] It is run out of the Marcus Brothers Textiles store on Sixth Avenue in Manhattan.[3] Its director is Jay Marcus.[4] Itamar Marcus is a former vice president of the fund[5]
According to its director, the CFI donated in 2009 approximately $13 million to programs that included social-humanitarian, medical, education, religious, security and community projects.[1][2][3][6][7]
The fund also supports Women in Green and Honenu, an organization which, according to Haaretz, provides legal defense for "radical right-wing activists".[4][8][9] There are financial links between the fund and Im Tirtzu, for whom it is the main channel for donations.[5][9][10][11][11]

(30,109 posts)And the last time Palestine/Israel was united, there was civil war in 1947-48.
That may be your solution, but it's a recipe for war and disaster.
2 states.
And a Palestinian one must allow for freedom of expression/dissent.

(30,109 posts)A very blood civil war broke out and things are arguably worse between the 2 people now, more than 6 decades later.
What makes you think a 1-state solution would work out better now? And further, what makes you believe the vast majority of Palestinians want to live in a secular, western style democracy when well over 80% vote Hamas or Fatah and prefer that style of government?
Blind faith?
Sectarian violence is the norm in the mideast neighborhood. Islamists are making Christians an endangered species throughout that region. What makes you think in an Arab majority Palestine that they would treat Jews better than Christians?
More simple faith?

(30,109 posts)1. What makes you think the vast majority of Palestinians would want to live in 1-state with the Jews in a western style liberal secular democracy?
2. Christians throughout the mideast are a dying breed. Their numbers are dwindling by the year. What makes you think Jews would be in better shape within a 1-state framework?

(30,109 posts)Powerful.
How's about we wait until there's genuine peace throughout the mideast....meaning no more sectarian war and strife between different ethnicities and races......no more racism, nothing but full equality for all women, gays, christians, blacks....real western secular liberal democracy throughout the region....before this utopian 1-state solution for greater Palestine is implemented?
Is that not reasonable?
Think this can happen within the next 6 months, year, decade? Because I don't see how u can expect Israel's Jews to be more amenable to a 1-state scenario without genuine peace first, based on western style democratic secular liberalism that would be embraced by the greater Arab world...

(30,109 posts)....you're avoiding.
1. Christians have it really bad throughout the mideast outside Israel, including within Gaza and the W.Bank where they're an endangered species. What needs to happen first in your opinion to ensure that not only christians are treated well but also jews within a majority Islamic Palestine?
2. If you're trying to convince the Jews of this 1-state solution of yours, how will you do so if you cannot ensure that AT MINIMUM it will be a western style liberal democracy that ensures the rights of gays, women, and other minorities? You can't expect Israelis to settle for less...

(30,109 posts)I can assure you that Israelis know of this shit happening within the territories and that's why they're terrified of the 1-state nightmare you have in mind for them once they're relegated to minority status within a Palestinian majority state.
If you gave a rat's ass about peace, tolerance, and inclusiveness then AT MINIMUM you'd demand that Abbas, his PA, and Hamas cut this shit out. You cannot expect Israelis to buy into your 1-state "utopia" if shit like this isn't dealt with first.

They have done nothing preparing their people for peace because ......they don't want peace.
This same discussion will be in 10 years because thepalestinians have openly stated what they want.... Israel dead.
