Obama: Hamas to Blame for Cease-Fire Collapse

President Barack Obama speaks about lack of action in Congress, Aug. 1, 2014, in the Brady Press Briefing Room of the White House in Washington.

U.S. President Barack Obama condemned a reported Hamas attack on Israeli soldiers in Gaza as a violation of the newly reached humanitarian cease-fire and called for the release of an Israeli soldier allegedly held hostage.

"That soldier needs to be released as soon as possible," he told reporters at an afternoon news conference on Friday at the White House.

President Obama said he has "unequivocally" condemned Hamas for taking actions against Israeli soldiers that led to to the breaking of short truces this week.

Pretty disgusting wasn't it?......Within hours of Israel saying they thought one of their soldiers might have been captured, out comes Obama making a statement like that with no additional evidence of the capture or that the soldier was not killed by Israeli fire.

He seemed more concerned about one soldier than the 50 civilians killed by Israel in the subsequent bombardment.

Was the tunnel the IDF were 'investigating' a cross-border tunnel or a built-up area tunnel?

are to blame -- and both sides many times have refused secure border settlements. Israel deliberately moving into the West Bank. Many examples of hate on each side. I do not expect it to change. Neither side wants peace. Each side plays victim.
