WATCH: 'Son of Hamas' addresses AIPAC conference

Mosab Hassan Yousef, Hamas scion turned Israeli informant, tells pro-Israel policy conference of the journey he made to 'a higher truth.'

AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobby in the United States, hosted a speaker on Sunday that a decade ago most Jews would have been abhorred to meet: Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of Hamas founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef.

The younger Yousef was an informant for the Shin Bet security service from 1997 to 2007 before seeking asylum in the United States. On Tuesday, the conference attendees greeted him with enthusiastic applause.

"Sometimes I try to rationalize what a son of a Hamas leader is doing in a big Jewish event like this. And the only way to see it, I came up with a theory. I think maybe I was in a previous life a very bad Jew," Yousef said, sending the audience into laughter. "Then I was reincarnated in the house of a Hamas leader to work out my karmas."

Yousef explained the atmosphere he grew up in, and the challenge of transforming the attitude that was ingrained in him.

"I grew up believing in the conspiracy theory, believing that Israel, America, the West hate Muslims," he recalled. "They're plotting day and night to destroy Islam, to destroy the Muslim world and keep people in ignorance."

Fri Mar 6, 2015, 07:24 AM
Mar 2015

after all those years of faithful service. As it was, he was nearly deported back to the West Bank because the US considered him a Hamas supporter:-

For a time, Mosab Hassan Yousef was threatened with deportation from the U.S. after his request for political asylum was denied, since statements in his book about working for Hamas were interpreted as "providing material support to a U.S.-designated terrorist organization", despite Yousef's explanation that they were "intended to undermine the group". His case then proceeded to the deportation stage, despite Yousef's advocates warning that he would likely be executed by the Palestinian Authority if deported to the West Bank.

He was ultimately assisted by his Shin Bet handler who testified at his hearing on his behalf.

Hypocrites are rampant and deception is strong on the I/P topic as well as
the alleged threats coming from Iran. AIPAC has the gall to state they're for two states
but pressed you'll never see an endorsement for a viable state for the Palestinians, nor
an acknowledgement of international law on the settlements...pathological liars, indeed.

Fri Mar 6, 2015, 09:46 AM
Mar 2015

While there are no reports that the Jewish community is being targeted, leaders have taken precautionary measures. Security at Jewish day schools throughout the country will be heightened; all field trips will be canceled. The measures will remain in effect on Tuesday, according to the Community Security Group, which handles security for the Jewish communities of Australia.

“The fact that someone has perpetrated an event like this, it has caused a heightened level of vigilance for our community,” Steve Lieblich, director of public affairs at the Jewish Community Council of Western Australia told the Jewish News. “We are on level 5 of 6 alert levels.”

One Jewish institution reportedly issued a “code red” during which the building was locked down for several hours. That order has since been lifted, Haaretz reports.

Fri Mar 6, 2015, 10:09 AM
Mar 2015
Sydney’s Jewish community is reeling following a chilling incident on Wednesday in which eight drunk teenage boys boarded a school bus transporting Jewish students, threatened to slit their throats and hurled anti-Semitic abuse at the children. Police allege the youths then racially taunted some of the kids and physical threatened others. One of the parents alleged the offenders yelled “Kill the Jews” and “Heil Hitler.” No one was injured.

Five teenagers were arrested at 3.30 A.M. local time Thursday, but were too drunk to be interviewed, police confirmed. They were released without charge into their parents’ custody and were expected to be questioned by police later Thursday, a police spokesman told Haaretz.

He said police were still searching for several other youths believed to have been engaged in the scene, which has been widely condemned inside and outside of the Jewish community.

Police also said they did not believe it to be a targeted attack on the students because they were Jewish.

August 6, 2014 - Sydney - Six underage males boarded a bus transporting a group of Jewish students aged five to twelve years old, shouting "Heil Hitler" and "Kill the Jews" while threatening the young students with violence.
