Chemtrails

I know some otherwise smart people who believe that we are being aerial sprayed.
I haven't paid much attention to this and seriously doubt it considering some of the sources.

Do a lot of people believe this "chemtrail" stuff?

Lived near Andrews Air Force, Washington, D.C. and planes flew over more than a few times a day. Not annoying, low-level but fairly high up . Anyway, I complained to my neighbor about the grease and oil slick that I had to clean from around my pool and he said it was from the fuel being burned by those high-flying planes.

Pollution from automobile exhaust could cause those kind of problems, if you lived in a high-traffic area. If contrails caused that kind of problem, oil slicks would have been all over the Navy air base.

Maybe it was errant automobile exhaust. I'll bow to your first hand experience in these things. Just know that the flight path for Andrews was over our - then - sparsely populated area.

...is that there is a sizeable contingent of folks who find joy in screwing with other people's heads for pure recreation.

Come up with any sort of nonsense, and someone, somewhere will believe it.
