Does anyone know of a good school to learn parody?

Apparently I don't have a fucking clue as to what parody is.

I guess I have led a fucking sheltered life.

1. I'm going to say Harvard, for the Lampoon roots and the fact that Harvard itself is a

sort of living parody, as it is the exemplar of it's form while at the same time it makes a mockery of that form. That sort of stone cold parody takes some dedication.
I'm guessing this was related to something actual....I got up too early....sorry.

It's a parody of an educational institute.

It would primarily be self-paced study.

Parody is a razors wire. Very difficult to straddle. It's also an excuse to be rude and then say you were just joking.

7. Agree, parody is really difficult to do well, imo. As is sarcasm, at times. Both often misread,

one way or the other.

In the DU2 mod forum, we'd often get alerts where a post could be parody or could possibly be something completely different. Same with sarcasm. Sometimes it came down to a judgment or gut "call" where we'd have to determine a poster's intent. Not easy either, or really fair, unless the overall context made it clear.
