sort of living parody, as it is the exemplar of it's form while at the same time it makes a mockery of that form. That sort of stone cold parody takes some dedication.
I'm guessing this was related to something actual....I got up too early....sorry.

Parody is a razors wire. Very difficult to straddle. It's also an excuse to be rude and then say you were just joking.

In the DU2 mod forum, we'd often get alerts where a post could be parody or could possibly be something completely different. Same with sarcasm. Sometimes it came down to a judgment or gut "call" where we'd have to determine a poster's intent. Not easy either, or really fair, unless the overall context made it clear.
