Into Deep Waters by Kaje Harper

I hope you don't mind my posting these book reviews. If you do please just let me know and I'll stop.

Into Deep Waters by Kaje Harper

I posted a different story by Ms. Harper, Taste of Summer. I loved that story. It was so sweet and bittersweet at the same time. The new story that I just finished (actually book) is called Into Deep Waters.

Goddamn, this story grabbed me, too. It's told in World War II. The characters are believable. They're so young. They start out on a warship. I am not going to go too deep into it as I don't want to ruin it for anyone who wants to read it, but it's a pretty darn amazing story.

You can download it for free here: http://www.goodreads.com/ebooks/download/13639879-into-deep-waters

I've already written Ms. Harper for her first book. Now I need to write her for this one. The ending had me in tears.

I'm so glad you liked it and that it struck a chord with you. I have to admit those two are my favorites of my books (and from the ratings the favorites of readers as well.) I really got caught up in the research for Into Deep Waters from WWII through Stonewall - I wish I'd had more than 45 days to do the writing and could have made it a long novel instead of a short one, but still I'm pleased with the result. And yes, I did feel it was a tribute to all those pioneers who lived and loved and came out when it was even harder than it is today. I'm also glad for every shift in policy, opinion and law that makes it easier for people to love whomever their heart chooses without fear. That day's not here yet, but it is slowly coming. Thanks for taking the time to message me.
