about 25 times as many people who watch MSNBC any given night. For all the vitriol that fox news gets, it seems that duck dynasty and the like should be a bigger focus of our attention.

I know people who watch the show who I would have never guessed would have watched it. One is a college professor and quite liberal. The other is pretty cultured and proper. Small sampling, I know but I think the show appealed to a lot of people other than just rednecks. I think the show didn't really voice any political views just their Christian beliefs.

Now that we have Phil out there saying some pretty ugly stuff, it might be enough for the less than redneck to drop their loyalty to the show.
