So, I got Donna Summer's "new" cd...

I'ts a mixed bag...what it is is remixed versions of some of her songs, and some work, some don't, some are, "Eh?"

Starts out good, Love to Love You remixed by Giorgio Morodor is probably the best, the remix of Love is In Control I think is better than the over-produced original, and one of the two versions of I Feel Love is good, as is Hot Stuff and Bad Girls. The new track, La Dulce Vida, is very pleasant, but could have been better...it is ridiculously catchy, though. On The Radio and Dim all the Lights are crap...can't even hear her, can't even tell it's her.

My two cents...they should have remixed some of the really old stuff like from 4 Seasons of Love or Once Upon a Time...those are much simpler and they really could have gone to town. Also, I'd recommend it.

I think it's a bit spurious that they're remixing her shit without her say-so.

She had a fantastic set of pipes right up until the end--and she died of lung cancer.

She was very artful with her arrangements.

I wish there was more from the album she was working on when she died...I guess they hadn't gotten evry far with it or they would have released more, I think.
