Minnesota Teen Receives Horrifying Death Threats After Coming Out

Ryan Eichenauer, a Centennial High School student in Circle Pines, Minnesota, has gone public with death threats he's received since recently coming out as gay on Facebook. Ryan says the typed threats were placed on his desk before the start of class.

That part about "protecting the house of god" ... wtf?!?

Must be a pretty impotent god, if he requires the protection of an anonymous "not scared" guy/girl.

I fully understand what this kid is going through with regards to getting death threats. When I was in HS, I got them over the phone and in my locker, though I hadn't come out. I never reported them because that would have just led to more trouble. I got them in college under my door and in the mail. After I had come out, I did post one of the letters on the main bulletin board in the lobby with a big arrow pointing to it saying "coward!" One of the worst episodes was when I was a professional hall director and some little asshole defaced my entire building with "FAGGOT", "Die of AIDS", "Beware Children!" "HOMO!" and a few other threats. It was on the doors and walls of all three of the floors of the building I supervised. It was so bad, I had to call in the cleaning crew that weekend. They were so sweet and did the cleaning for free!! The asshole responsible later put out a hit on me. He's in jail now serving 20 to life.

I hope this kid realizes this is the act of a SPINELESS coward and his very act of coming out places him heads and shoulders above that asshole!

He had a problem with gay people and I busted him for a few different violations. The DEA picked him up.

some social media so all of the assholes are easily identified. Also, look at Yahoo Answers, Topix, even City Data, many of the posters are absolutely illiterate and many are merchants of hatred, it's a recreational sport for them.

Some of my friends say the Internet has developed all of this hatefulness, but as I tell them, the hatred was already there, the internet has made it more visible. Many people are simply cesspools of hatred. The internet did not create that IMO.
