Tonight Al Jazeera America 9:00PM central time Tom Witt, executive director and lobbyist for Equality Kansas (formerly Kansas Equality Coalition)
CNN tomorrow morning 7:30AM central time. Tom Witt again. **these times were what he told me as he left but we do not know exactly the time the interview will show (we think these are the times for it to show) so if this is incorrect I will let you know as soon as possible.
Now I know what you all think of my state and we have earned the reputation we have but I want you to know that this state blew up over this.
It has been killed in the Senate as is. The outcry was large and loud after it passed the House. I don't think anyone ever thought it would pass out of the House even. The work of Tom and EQKS was rapid and strong. We are getting stronger every year and we may lag behind most states but we are catching up slowly thanks to the work of these people.
Just thought you might like to hear from the man who has been in the middle of the entire mess for the last 8 years or more.

I'm in Missouri and the conservatards have started to act up in Jeff City as well. I can't tell if the styoopid is flowing from west to east or vice-versa.

(34,134 posts)will not be voted on. At this point I think whatever they end up with will be inclusive and probably not end up to be much of anything since the people have spoken. That is what happened the last 2 years that they tried this. We end up with a new Religious Freedom bill that is as weighless as the years before. I wonder how many years in a row they will try this crap? Tonight there is an article from a lot of the church leaders in this state calling this bill a fraud using it as a bill based on religion.
We create our own stupidity here, after all this is Koch brothers home territory and with Brownback in the governor's office it is all religion and corporate positive all the time.

(34,134 posts)but no Impeachment option.
They, the legislators, never seem to learn but maybe that is good because the people here seem to be fed up enough with it to at least speak up.
