BTW, the GOP is not just against abortion rights, they are also wholly against contraception rights. As we all know.

THIS was the only immediately usable suggestion:

It's the same thing with striking down all of the unconstitutional abortion bans that the red states are passing - we're always playing catch-up. Yes, they're almost universally struck down in court, but it takes time and money. In the meantime, women suffer.
Sadly, the only way to preemptively prevent this shit is for the SCOTUS to expand abortion rights on the basis of a woman's right to privacy and her ultimate right to her own body, and I doubt this current SCOTUS will do that. However, if RGB retires or passes away, we'll never get anyone as liberal as she is and no future SCOTUS could possibly get there. Unfortunately, our only chance is now, and I'm not confident it's even a good chance.
All of this "religious conscience" shit needs to go away permanently. You should only be allowed a "religious conscience" in your private life, never in commerce or public life. And I put that in quotes because it usually is only an excuse to discriminate. After all, how in hell do you prove someone has "closely held beliefs"??
Grrrrrrrrrrr!
