Russia sees new highs in Covid cases and deaths.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/russia/Russia has registered a record 32,196 cases of Covid-19 and a new all-time high of 999 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday.
A surge in coronavirus infections began in Russia last week, and the daily numbers neared 30,000, or the previous all-time high registered on December 24, 2020. Since then, Russia has seen two new record highs, including 31,299 cases on Thursday and the 32,196 seen on Friday. The number of infections has grown by almost 1,000 over the day.
Meanwhile, the number of deaths from Covid-19 has reached 999, or the largest number since the beginning of the pandemic.
