Related: About this forumI got a leg compression machine yesterday.
My cardiologist started me on leg treatments because my studies demonstrated that I had concerning pooling of fluid in my lower legs that trapped blood from returning to my heart. (Trust me, I almost looked like I had Elephantiasis at my ankles, with challenges of putting on socks. TSF had nothing on me.)
Initially, some laser surgery with removal of some veins. Then a series of injections.
Last visit, my doctor advised me about a new machine where you sit with your legs elevated two times a day, an hour each time, wearing leg booties (with zippers) that a machine intermittently and gently squeezes/compresses your legs. So I got it.
It doesn't hurt. I suppose in my case, being still for two hours out of twenty-four is something I'll have to get used to.
Apparently the fluid pooling in my ankles and lower legs is redistributed to my lymph system. And I should feel more energy in my legs.
Trust me, this wasn't a "hard sell".
Will report back in the future with my anticipated progress.
