my life as a turkey

When naturalist Joe Hutto became "mother" to a clutch of 16 wild turkey eggs, he had no idea of the heartache and joy that were to become part of his daily existence for the next 18 months, as he raised the chicks and helped them leave the nest.


we watched it last christmas and caught it again last night. beautiful and a bit sad. it isn't available on dvd at this point, but if you can stream it, i suggest you do.

it was an amazing show. The part where the turkeys play with the deer and the squirrels was surprising.
