Anybody watch "Marseille" yet?
Watched the first episode last night. First reaction: meh. But I'll try ep.2 one of these days. I'm not a big fan of Depardieu and here he's fatter and uglier than ever. He plays an ugly character, too. Sorry if I offend any of his fans, just my personal thing. I do love French movies, generally.

(5,621 posts)1. Did you watch Versailles?
While it is not in French, I think it is made in France. A very interesting take on the building of Versailles.

I think you should watch a couple more before making a final decision.

Almost turned it off after the first one, but it gets better.
I had to turn off the English audio and go to French with subtitles. The disconnect between the visual and the English voices was too distracting.
