Queen Sugar

Series about 3 African-American siblings who inherit a sugar cane farm in Southern Louisiana. Set in present day. I found it a beautiful, involving, heartfelt family story interwoven with relevant social and cultural commentary regarding the Black experience in America and the South today. A tad glossy but overall, probably relatively authentic (I am "white" so maybe hard to judge). Streaming on Amazon but I got Season 1 DVD from my library.
